9x5: The HiPlaces Model

From the 9 Dimensions:
Foster Health and Safety

High performance learning communities are housed in healthy buildings which are smoke free, drug free, safe places which provide an atmosphere conducive to learning.  Healthy breakfast and lunch choices are available to all students, with free and reduced meals for those who need them. In addition to offering health services to students, these schools include health topics and issues in the curriculum.  Teachers in these schools model healthy behavior and encourage the same in their students.
